Circa 1870s, with maker's mark to underside of base, retailer's mark "J. Barbolla" to foot, export marked of Mercury's head below rim, bold baluster form with exaggerated spout, the handle in the form of a female zephyr or fairy in Grecian dress, the waist features a band of foliate scrollwork against an engine turned ground, the lower body and neck also with engine turned engraving and quatrefoil motifs, open shield form cartouches flanked by garlands of fruit are applied to both sides of neck, no monogram.
