This early 1900s yellowlegs decoy was found in the rafters of an old outbuilding behind his house in the 1970s. Ben loved to hunt shorebirds and maintained a large stand of decoys to hunt.

Original paint with moderate wear, corrosion to iron bill, damage to top of the head, hit by shot.
