This is a rare and important carving by Alvin Harris who many believe was the second best maker to ever come from Carteret County. He was the bridge between and old school and new school of carvers. His decorative carvings have great influence from John Audubon images. This dove is carved from balsa.

Original paint with light scuffing to tail feather edges, two wood scrapes to wing edge.
