Late Edo period or early Meiji period, 19th century, three finely cast foo lions with pinwheel decoration to their bodies, largest holds a reticulated ball with tassel rope under his front paw, his main and tail have lines defining their lushness, the lower area of his mane on his back is a cover that can be opened to hollow interior, his mouth is open showing his teeth, this father is accompanied by two younger foo lions.

Largest 4 1/2 x 5 x 10 in.
