Alvin Harris carved his beach robins out of 1.75 inch wood which give them a more rounded appearance. Each robin had a small gauge copper wire inserted as a stake. Rig mates are published on pages 92 and 93 of Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Andresen and Philip Harvey.
