A wonderfully composed pair of mallards. Joiner began carving as a teen and soon came under the tutelage of Madison Mitchell. In the 1940s he spent time learning from the Ward brothers. Joiner would later observe that his style of painting and carving included a combination of Mitchell's and the Ward's styles.
