Attributed to New York, late 19th century, after Duncan Phyfe, mahogany veneer, rectangular hinged top with canted front corner, vertically veneered skirt, swivel top revealing open compartment for game pieces, supported on a fully carved spread winged eagle standard, resting on a plinth with copper ring above a lion face mask to base of standard, quadruped base with acanthus carved down-swept legs, carved paw feet raised on brass casters.

All legs are original, one with crack and repair near joint to standard; slight warp to top; staining, wear and light marring to top surfaces.
