Qing dynasty (1644-1912), carved in reticulated layers with central pink lotus blossoms and leaves, waves, and more lotus flowers radiating outwards in finely carved forms, touches of gilt to highlight the carvings, were probably originally the interior eaves of a temple, very unique and beautiful artworks.

9 1/2 x 21 x 10 in.

Both carvings have wear with losses to pigments and gilt; scattered nicks to edges and some stress cracks to wood; some breaks with possible losses; set onto new plywood on reverse for hanging.
