Length 17.5 in.

Bode was a market hunter, cattle rancher, and waterman. He ran a commercial hunting operation near the Currituck Inlet Club. He is credited with introducing roast ruddy duck to the New York restaurant scene around the turn of the century. Many of his decoys ended up at the Bells Island Club. Bode died in 1931, and one of his guides, Rufus Roberts, took over the lodge. It them became known as the Roberts Brothers' Lodge.
