20th century, pigments on a cream colored ground with red borders and labeled in Tibetan with further inscriptions in cartouches underneath, the paintings are based on the ancient eighth century Buddhist text Four Tantras that formed the foundation of Tibetan medicine, presented in identical manner over mats and framed with glass.

The tree thangka has wear from creases and fraying edges to red border, toning and dirt to surface, some scattered foxing; the second thangka also has wear from creases and fraying edges to red border, light toning, some areas of discoloration, some scattered dirt to surface.
