Kight grew up with a market hunter father who was also a decoy carver. After the early death of his father, he worked as a farmer, waterman and hunting guide. Known as a superb athlete, he played baseball for several semi-pro teams and then went on to become a hunting guide for the Corey Lodge on Knotts Island. Making mostly canvas geese and swans, he was also known to make wooden coots, scaup, redheads, mallards and teal. This pair features turned heads which provides an animated pose.
