20th century, a carved golden hardwood sculpture of Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, with lovely grain and sheen, she is holding a bottle in one hand and twig in the other, she wears a hooded robe with figure of the Buddha carved in high relief at the front above her forehead, her flowing elegant robe is gracefully carved and she stands on an open double lotus blossom base.
