Lambert Morris was from the small fishing village of Atlantic, North Carolina. He loved working the water of Core Sound but attended Trinity College (now Duke University) and Law School. His law practice would eventually lead him back to Carteret County as a judge. The love of working the water never left him. He made several different stands of beach robin decoys mostly influenced by Alvin Harris. This exceptional beach robin is one of the finest known by Lambert Morris. It has carved and painted eyes with strong original paint.
