This rod is the "Highest Grade 3 Joint Built Cane Trout Fly Fishing Rod" made in 1953, the Coronation Year of Queen Elizabeth II. The rod is accompanied by the original Allcock's "Anglers' Guide" 150th Anniversary Edition noting years 1803 - 1953. This literary document in itself is highly sought after with a complete historical review of this storied and revered company. This Allcocks Sapper fine bamboo rod was fished in England under the instruction and direction of Queen Elizabeth II’s personal Gilley. The rod was purchased in 1953 in England and professionally restored to like new condition in 2021 by Thomas Custom Rods. Here is truly a pristine collectors item in fishable condition.
