Homer Fulcher, the son of Charlie Fulcher, was born in Stacy, North Carolina. He grew up in Piney Point and spent his life on the water. After retirement, Homer Fulcher and Alvin Harris taught woodcarving at Carteret Community College. Homer Fulcher was the first featured carved at the Core Sound Decoy Festival. He was the key voice in the documentary film Core Values directed by Quinn Collins. This decorative goose is a fine example of his work.
