Early 20th century, carved wood with lacquer, each offering box is shaped like a Buddhist shrine stupa, includes three boxes: the largest is red, in three parts with a cover, plate insert, and raised base, the second is a black lacquered box with cover and deep well to body, finely crafted spindle finial has a thick red lacquer border at base carved with flower and animal pattern, interior is red, and the third is decorated with red and black concentric bands to the surface, raised foot with deep well to body and domed cover with finial.

Overall good estate condition; some nicks and chips with loss to edges of body; some cracking to lacquer surface on black stupa box; black stupa box cover does not sit tightly in base; repairs to black stupa box.
