Edo period (1615-1868), woodblock prints, the first print is circa 1832-38, The Spiral Hall at the Temple of the Five Hundred Arhats (Gohyaku rakan Sazaido) from the series "Famous Places in the Eastern Capital (Toto meisho)," and the second print is circa 1840-42, Marugame in Sanuki Province (Sanshu Marugame) from the series "Famous Harbors of Japan (Nihon minato zukushi)," the prints are framed under glass in an identical manner.

Frame dimensions 15 1/4 x 19 1/2 in.

Both prints with rubbing and wear; fading to color; some soil or dirt to surface; Marugame print has a good deal of foxing and toning as well as rubbing with some surface loss; not examined outside of the frames.
