Meiji period (1868-1912), created with various fine Japanese woods, Hinoki (cypress wood), Keyaki (elm wood), and Sugi (cedar wood), a two part cabinet, the upper cabinet with four sliding doors at top, below are two sliding doors with rice paper and reticulated wood caving, and below the doors are five small drawers with metal pulls, the lower cabinet with two large sliding panel doors revealing large open space with one shelf for storage. A very unique and special piece of Japanese furniture.
