Sir Peter Blake was part of the early British pop art movement. He is known for his prints, collages, paintings, and sculpture, and for his contributions to album covers for bands such as The Beatles (Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 1967) and Oasis (Stop the Clocks, 2006). His work takes inspiration from a variety of sources, including popular music, British and American art history, life in the countryside, and as seen in this print, sports.
