A Sino-Tibetan Bronze Sculpture of Guanyin

Probably 17th or 18th century, very finely cast bronze with traces of reddish-brown enamel and gilt, wearing a five tier crown, elaborate earrings and necklace, Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, holding a vase with the nectar of immortality with one hand and tip of a willow with the other, her robes have some incised decoration, she is seated on a double lotus base with bead work around the top and bottom, cast to be seen in the round, hollow open base.

Most of gilt and enamel is now gone with only traces remaining in folds, around fingers, and mostly to back and back of lotus base; some loss to base foot edge at center; some possible restoration to lower back where it meets the base.
