A Japanese Isho Dansu Clothing Chest

Edo period (1615-1868), paulownia (kiri) wood with reddish brown finish, hand forged iron hardware and lock plates, the chest has one long drawer at top, four drawers below on the left side and two short drawers on the right side above a hinged cabinet door heavily decorated with iron hardware that has a lock and opens to reveal two small drawers, two handles to sides.

Antique condition; deep scratches and surface loss to top of cabinet; some losses to edges and slight separation to planks on backside of chest; some drawers and cabinet door have lock mechanism up and do not close fully, can be fixed.
