19th century, a four section inro with gold and silver lacquer raised decoration of tree with bird over irises to one side and a cat sleeping under a bamboo tree with butterfly overhead on the other, interior of four compartments with pear nashiji maki-e, with a brown carrying cord (3 x 2 x 3/4 in.)(good estate condition; some very light lifting with loss to lower left hand edge; cord is probably later), and a Kozuka knife handle decorated with gold long tailed turtles (minogame) swimming amidst waves, smooth to the reverse side (1/8 x 3 3/4 x 1/2 in.)(good estate condition).
