Early 20th century, a complete set containing 144 tiles: 139 marked and 5 plain tiles, and numerous counting sticks, all organized in a carved wooden box, with five pull out drawers, cover lifts up and has two Chinese characters in green to front, a pair of brass carrying handles to the top.

Wear and loss to box, especially at edges; left hand side of box with loss to wood as a result front cover does that fit tightly.
