Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), 19th century, elmwood chest on elegantly carved raised legs on wooden bands, shaped iron hardwood with heavy lockplate that lifts to open a large interior space lined with paper with Korean writing, large handles to front and sides for carrying, may have been used to store coin, documents, or other personal items.
