Mid 20th century, (12) pieces to include: three bunches of grapes, four flower form candleholders, two quartz peaches, an apple, a bean pod, and a banana, all comprised of silk-wrapped branches and vines with light celadon, spinach, rich amber, smoky, and light pink colored hardstone.

Collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Leonard Woodcock

From the collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Leonard Woodcock. They lived in China from 1977 to 1981 and continued to visit frequently until 1996. Ambassador Woodcock negotiated normalization between the United States and China with leader Deng Xiaoping, and was then selected to be the first U.S. Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.

Some very minor scattered fleabites, natural inclusions; some glue repairs to joint of leaf of petal to stem and loose joints; candle holders with wax residue.
