Keith Haring's work offered here was designed to celebrate Luna Luna, a contemporary art amusement park that first opened in Hamburg, Germany in 1987. The park featured rides by larger-than-life artists such as Keith Haring (who made a real-life merry-go-round), Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí, Roy Lichtenstein, Sonia Delaunay, and others.

The Luna Luna amusement park made a comeback in 2023 when the musician, Drake, helped fund restoring the rides to their previous glory. They are currently on view in Los Angeles, and they will continue to tour globally throughout 2024.
