Ink and colors on paper, a serene painting of an elegant Chinese lady under blooming branches with moon above, framed with silk mat in wooden frame, note to reverse of painting reads "by Chiang-Yi-Xu was completed in May 1936. The phrase on the side of the painting announces that 'in the forest under the moonlight, a beautiful lady is walking towards us.' This painting was purchased in Tianan, Taiwan, April 1968 by William Sommers."

Good estate condition; overall even toning to the paper; a few spots of discoloration in upper center above the moon; not examined outside of the frame.
