In the 1940s and 1950s, Blanton made several stands of cork decoys with juniper bottom boards for himself and others. They were lighter weight but not as robust as the all wood decoys. Many did not survive the test of hard usage.

Original paint with light gunning wear, wear to the tail with some cork missing.
