Meiji period (1868-1912), 19th century, ink and colors on paper, two paintings set into a double-sided floor screen, one side painted with a powerful hawk standing on a rock among the turbulent waves below, its wings lifted as ready to take off into the sky, focused serious look, the rocks with swirling waves continue on the reverse side with three birds flying above, signed with two characters and red artist's seal to both sides.

Large water spots to reverse side along with small punctures and some light stable tears; the front side has only a few water spots to left hand side; both sides with light scratching; overall even toning to paper.
