19th century, ink and colors on silk, very similar to the print by John James, The Bird of Washington or Great American Sea Eagle, Falco Washingtoniensis from 1828, but also bearing resemblance to a hawk, a bird and symbol very highly regarded in India, China and Japan, professionally framed under glass.

Overall very good condition; light toning to silk; some scattered areas of foxing to the silk; pencil margin and sketch lines visible; not examined outside of the frame.
