From the Collection of Professor Roberto Severino, Washington, D.C.

Angelus Politianus (Angelo Poliziano) (1454-1494) was a Florentine poet and scholar. He worked closely with the Medici family and makes an appearance in numerous well-known Renaissance paintings.

Scuffing and general wear to boards, with rubbed corners and minor insect damage, spine scuffed and rubbed with areas of darkening, small loss to leather at head, cracking at rear joint yet still very sturdy, small area with glue residue on back cover; pages with toning and minimal foxing, occasional writing and underlining, staining, creasing, and folds; damp staining; small tears, losses, or wormholes on several pages not impacting text. A very good and sturdy copy.
