Meiji period (1868-1912), a pair of bulbous shaped jars with dome covers, hand painted in the Imari palette of iron red and underglaze blue with highlights of gilt, large shaped reserves populated with fauna and flora, dark blue ground with gilt scrolling tendrils pattern, pointed finial to covers.
