Lilo de la Passardière (1921-2022), also known as the "Marquise of Broadway," was born in Paris in 1921. She began her career on the stage as a ballerina at the Théâtre du Châlet. In 1947, she married the Marquis Guy Jourdan de la Passardière, a French producer, who introduced her to a broader audience - from the Folies Bergères in London and ultimately to Broadway. Her first Broadway show was Cole Porter's musical, Can-Can.
Minor dent to shoulder of shaker; light scratching; overall in good estate condition.
