George Pratt (British, ca. 1784-1840) was a printmaker and midwife. First published in 1833, this anatomical study provides detailed illustrations and a close look at the understanding of the field of obstetrics in the 19th century.

Boards scuffed and stained, edgewear, spine rubbed, with small leather losses at corners and head and tail of spine; separation from textblock and cracking at hinges; pages toned, with foxing and occasional mark, stain, chip, or tear; tissue guards with foxing and occasional chip, tear, or fold but with all but one present; free endpapers with writing, tears, fraying, and small losses, first free endpaper with separation at head; somewhat fragile yet pages clean overall and images bright.
