Domenico di Giovanni (1404-1449), writing under the nickname Burchiello, was an Italian poet with an untraditional and satirical style. Although he died young, and in poverty, his work continued to be highly influential and appreciated by Italian writers. This edition provides commentary by the writer and scholar Anton Francesco Doni.

Expected discoloration to vellum, occasional small wormholes; interior with wear at hinges, bookplate and manuscript on front paste-down, wormholes at hinges and endpapers, occasional small stain, pages toned with light foxing; fair to good condition with damp staining throughout.
