Each a stipple engraving, published from 1792 to 1801 after original paintings by John Henry Fuseli (1741-1825), John Opie (1761-1807), George Romney (1734-1802), John Hoppner (1758 - 1810), and Benjamin West (1738 - 1820), the works engraved by Richard Earlom (1743-1822), Robert Thew (1758-1802), Charles Gauthier Playter, Jean Pierre Simon (1764-1813), Benjamin Smith (1754-1833), and William Sharp (1749-1824); including King Lear, Hamlet, King Henry the Sixth, Tempest, Simon of Athens, and Cymbeline, published by John & Josiah Boydell, Shakespeare Gallery, Pall Mall; & N. 90, Cheapside, London.; each float mounted in parcel gilt fluted frames with starred corners.
