Anna Heyward Taylor (1879-1956) was one of the leading artists of the Charleston Renaissance. Born into a prominent family in Columbia, South Carolina, Taylor's artistic journey flourished against the backdrop of the early 20th century, where she emerged as a major figure in the cultural revival that characterized the region.

Taylor's oeuvre encompasses a diverse array of mediums, with a particular emphasis on printmaking and watercolor.
