Paolo Paruta (Venice, 1540-1598) was a politician and historian. Discorsi Politici was not published until after his death. It presents his political speeches on ancient and modern governments in two books.

Vellum with light marks and slight warping to front board; front pastedown with slight separation; minor manuscript on title page; pages lightly toned with foxing, occasional light grime, first two gatherings with damp staining at margins.
