Meiji period (1868-1912), bronze vase cast with a pair of birds flying amidst pine trees, marked 明治年製 (Meiji year made) to rim (9 1/2 in.)(general rubbing and wear; base plate may not be original to the piece), and a well cast bronze crab okimono (2 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 4 in.)(general rubbing and wear with some loss to backside of crab.)
