As follows: the American album (6-1/4 in.) is from Groton, New York, leatherbound and embellished with two brass clasps; the interior is inscribed "To our dear Pastor is this Album affectionately presented by his Bible Class. Groton (NY) Jan. 1st 1864.. Included are fifty (50) CDV images, with young men of military age being conspicuously absent for the most part given the Civil War. Included are three type-written 20th century pages by the minister's grand-daughter that identify the CDV backmarks and subjects when known. Overall a very good presentation; plus a French Album De Photographies (Paris: Chez l'Inventeur, n.d.), (6 in.), embossed leather boards with brass clasps; contains seventeen (17) military CDVs, showing officers and three (3) civilian images. Wear to boards with losses to brass; internally very good condition and clean.
