From the Collection of Rosemary and Richard Worthington, Greensboro, North Carolina; collected during his tours in Japan, 1978-82, 1992-1995 Ted Colyer was born in Nova Scotia and pursued his Fine Arts education at Mount Allison University before embarking on a transformative journey to Japan to immerse himself in the art of traditional Japanese woodblock printmaking, studying under Toshi Yoshida. He dedicated 17 years of his career to Japan, actively engaged as a professional printmaker and painter, returning to Canada in 1888.
