Meiji period (1868-1912), a large porcelain vase with frilly rim hand painted in overglaze enamels with two peacocks amidst large peony blooms, drilled and fitted as a large table lamp with single light fixture, set into a carved wooden base, comes together with tall fabric lampshade.
HOA 46 3/4 in., Vase only 24 1/2 in.
Overall good estate condition; some scattered rubbing and loss to enamels; vase drilled for light fitting; vase not examined outside of lamp mounts; tear to interior of lampshade.
