Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, ink and colors on paper, a multi-generational portrait with thirteen seated figures, their faces portrayed in exquisite detail, dressed in formal court robes wearing rank badges, men with official's hats and the ladies with kingfisher phoenix headdresses with coral and dangling pearls, a boy and girl attendant stand on the left and right of the scene, behind the group is a four panel screen painted with the flowers representing the "four gracious gentleman": orchid, chrysanthemum, bamboo, and plum, presented in a thick wooden frame under glass with iron hangings at the top.
