Qing dynasty (1644-1912), porcelain hand painted in underglaze blue with scenic landscape at top, side with three sages by the riverbank, back with a collection of scholarly items, and the underside with an egret by a stream, reticulated sides one with quatrefoil opening surrounded by four bats and the other a double coin opening surrounded by four bats.
7 1/2 x 9 3/8 x 6 in.
Private Collection, North Carolina Good estate condition; hairline to quatrefoil opening on one side; some scattered surface wear; rim of side with double coins appears to be side down in kiln during firing and is unglazed.
