Meiji period (1868-1912), naturalistically cast egret standing on a driftwood base, his head is turned downwards towards his left foot that is holding a long eel like fish, signed in a square reserve under its tail feathers Nihon koku maruki sei 日本國丸喜製 (made in Japan by Maruki).

Crane 12 in., with stand 15 1/2 in.
