Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, sides of the box applied with champleve panels with enamel flowers over the tortoiseshell, the cover is a silver reverse painted glass panel lined with newspaper and topped by a metal champleve panel to the top decorated with peaches, flora and scrolling tendrils, with tortoiseshell case along the edges, incised CHINA to interior center of the box.

Overall very good estate condition; loss to silver paint to glass panel on the interior side of the cover; a loss to one tortoise pillar on side of box; one side metal bumped out slightly at one end.
