From the Personal Collection of Nancy Tuttle May, Durham, North Carolina The Bernstein family is renowned for their accomplishments in glass and distinctive styles; their work can be seen in the permanent collections of several museums from the Hokkaido Museum of Art in Hokkaido, Japan, to the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York. William Bernstein has also taught the art of glass making from Penland to Pilchuck. Their son, Alex, has mastered glass sculpting and has won several prestigious awards for his accomplishments as well.
