Doily Fulcher collected this decoy in 1967 from Roland Davis.
This curlew is one of three found at the home of Roland Davis. It is not known of the exact maker but Robert Pigott may have made them as he had family connections to Portsmouth Island. These three curlew decoys are considered to among the most significant shorebird decoys to come from the island.
