Three (3) Cappadocian Coins of the Kingdom and Seven (7) Later Coins Under Rome

Coins of the Kingdom include: Ariaramnes (3rd c. B.C.), AE17 bust / horseman; Ariarathes IV (220-163 B.C.), AR drachm and Ariarathes V (163-130 B.C.), AR drachm. Coins under Roman rule include a local bronze of Claudius, a small AE of Trajan, a hemidrachm of Hadrian, two (2) small bronzes of Severus Alexander and two (2) bronzes of Gordian III.

All coins being offered are from a scholarly numismatic cabinet that was one collector's passion for over twenty years. Starting the collection around 1990, he went on to amass over 2,000 coins representing many of the ancient cultures that flourished from Britain to India. Every coin from this collection is fully attributed in manuscript on its own unique 2x2 envelope.
