Stacy Howard was the brother of Lawrence Howard. He was a sportsman guide for Captain Bill Gaskill. Howard's daughter Blanche recalls her father making decoys, "he chopped them out with a hatchet, and smoothed them with a wood rasp and broken glass." This brant in a swimming pose is very well composed.
Old gunning paint, age checks in the body and neck.
